In 1971, what color would my 1414X Wagoneer wheels have been? The plain steel wheels with the full hub caps. They caps leave a small amount of the wheel showing when they are on and I can't find many pics of them that are good enough to show if it's a black wheel or white.

The caps fit my current wagon wheels. So i'm going to run them as is for now, blue and red stripe at the edge and all.

I had a 70 J truck, my first FSJ. There were small caps, but Dad never ran them. I think the wheels were a beige instead of white.
I might find a picture.

All Kaiser era steel wheels (except MAYBE Super Wags) where white from the factory. Not glacier white, but more of a cream white. In 71 I have seen AMC offering silver wheels on J4800 Camper Trucks. My 71 sales brochure shows this, but those aren't 100% accurate at times.
